Tippers

as a professional Floor attendant i have watched and observed, many and all kinds of tippers: and with the help of reading Waiter rant have came up a basic categorization of the different types or tippers; i do hope you enjoy reading what i came up with...

the different Tippers:

Verbal: I don't completely hate these people since it is always good
to hear how well you do but come on in this time with economic
distress I won't be able to pay my rent with, " Good job, or best
service ever!" I need cold hard cash, please!

Accountant; customer who tips based on the bill before tax and will
most often slit a tip on a slit bill so you end up with less money

Compensator; some one who did something grotesque and tip really well in
hope to apologize for their behavior

Flat 15%: a person only tips 15% of the total bill

Ingratiate: yuppie with guilt about being rich and wants to prove to
everyone he is done with the working people by tipping well and having
us call them by the first name.

The sugar daddy: the old fart trying to get the young sexy waitress by
tipping a lot thinking that will make her forget he is 20 years her
senor. And sometimes this works

The average Joe: they tip 15-20% and consist 70% of the dining public

10% tippers: people who think it is still the 1950s and still only tip
10%

Foreigners: patrons that come from other countries and ingnor the
standard tipping customs.

Nice customers: (not enough of these ones) people who respect you and
treat you as a professional and they tend to tip at least 25% truly a
Valued customer

Cheapskate: yuppies who are unable to separate there money from their
pocket

Use to be server: most often people who use to be servers or at least
worked in a restaurant normally leave good tips. However those who
don't tip well, will be doomed to wait tables again ( consider this
divine intervention or karma)

The scank or whore: usually hot attractive women that think flirting
with a server and shaking it will qualify as a tip. Unless you will
actually go down on me it doesn't!

Well this is about it when it comes to the classes of tippers! i don't really know what else to say but this is very sad to talk about since most ave these people are the every day shmoe who walks into a dining establishment and are rude and self entitled bastards that think b/c they are paying for a $100 meal they are entitled to do and be have how ever they want...
