my rules for dining out...

so if you are actually reading this you probably have nothing better to do with your time...any way you spin it... these rules/ Laws are just the basic of how any human being should behave in a public restaurant and i know how guilty everyone, including me are for breaking one or more of these;

1. Reservations:

When making reservations, keep in mind that Friday and Saturday nights
are our bussiest nights, so if you make it for one of thoughs nights
make sure to be on time!

Also never double reserve with two or more restaurants and make a last
min choice.

Always keep your reservations
If you are running late call so we know and will save you spot.

If half hour you'll get in but don't expect special treatment.

And if you are going to be late more then a hour don't even bother
showing up.

2. The Self entitled:

First and for most I don't care who you are; never say, " I'm friends
with the owner." (No you arn't)

Also never say, " Do you know who I am?" again I don't care who you are.

Sit where you are seated! We jhare too busy to argue with you about
your seat just sit down and shut up.

Ppl with kids;

Leave the children at home if at all posible.

If you must bring your kids, please keep them quiet and out of the
server's way.

3. Manners:

Remember always say, " please and thank you!"

Never snap your fingers at your server, we are not dogs!

Have your server go through the specials only once, so if you have a
few more people joining you wait for them before you order.

Never tell your server's name in the dining rooms.

Order your food clearly.

Keep the fornication in the bedroom.

Never grab atvthe server.

Cell phone and tech:

Don't use your cell phone at the table,

Keep your phone one silent!

Try to avoid throwing your phone on the table. ( makes you look
socialy insecure )

If you must talk, take it outside!!!

Also tell your teen to put that ipod away.

You shouldn't be using your laptop at any dinning establishment ( keep
your work in the office! )

And none of these item should be out while your server is talking!

If you must do some thing, read a damn book.

4. Alcohal:

Never sniff the cork when you order wine. ( makes you look like a
goober )

Don't ask for a bigger glass for your wine to satisfy your growing
ego ( b/c you won't get one. )

If you bring in your own bottle remember you will have to pay a
corking fee. ( don't complain )

Remember don't bring in, outside alcohal. (it's the law)

Know your own limits when it comes to alcohol.

Last call most places have to pull drinks after a sertin time ( it's
the law! )

Also it is illegal to be intoxicated in a public place and we will not
Serve you if you are drunk!

5. Special orders:

Never deviate from the menu. I.e Order only off the menu.

Don't lie about allergies to get a d special order.

6. Regulars:

If you are a regular at a place never alowe your self to feel entitled.

To be even considered a regular you must patronize an establishment at
least once or twice a month.

It is all about relationships

Spread the word about the restaurant.

please don't ask for hand outs.

Feel free to ask for your favorite server if they are working.

7. Timing:

As a server, time is money so don't monopolize their time.

Never come in 15 min before closing.

8. Paying the check:

We need you to eat, pay and get out. (sorry) but time is money

If your in a hurry ask for your check.

Pay the check with in 5 min of receiving it.

Don't ask For separate the checks at the end of the meal.

If you don't have money or a credit card, to pay your bill don't worry
we'll put a rain check on it and will work spmething out.

9. Tipping:

Tip at least 15 to 20%
If not any regular status will be negated.

Try to tip in cash.

For your favorite server tip at least 20-25%

If you pay with a gift certificate, make sure you tip on the whole
check.

For take out orders, tip at least 10%

If you can't afford to leave a tip, you shouldn't eat out. Stay home!

be sure i will go in to more detail as soon as i can organize everything... till then just be sure to fallow these rules and you'll have no problem with your server or waiter.
